Year-round programming and events expose members to new topics, ideas and training.


With over 45 local Chapters and 300 Partners, members are part of a strong and growing network.

Who We Are

The Raleigh/Durham Chapter of the National Black MBA Association was established in 1990, and organized as a tax exempt 501(c)3 entity in 1994. The organization consists of over 400 individuals, with graduate degrees or earning graduate degrees, who have experience in a multitude of disciplines including consulting, management, health care, medical services, engineering, science, technology, marketing, advertising, banking, financial services, insurance, retail, consumer goods, accounting, and finance. Our members are entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, academic scholars, as well as, high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. Although our name indicates “National Black MBA Association”, please note you do not have to be black, nor do you have to possess an MBA in order to be a member. We welcome people from various cultures, ethnic groups, and professional backgrounds to join us in helping us fulfill our mission.

The mission of the National Black MBA Association is to lead in the creation of educational opportunities and economic growth for Black professionals.  We are committed to making an impactful and sustainable difference in the communities in which we work and serve through:

  • Innovative programs that stimulate intellectual and economic growth
  • Partnerships with key stakeholders who help facilitate this growth
  • Increased awareness and access to graduate management programs and career opportunities in management fields.
