About Us

Who We Are

The Raleigh/Durham Chapter of the National Black MBA Association was established in 1990, and organized as a tax exempt 501(c)3 entity in 1994. The organization consists of over 250 individuals, with graduate degrees or earning graduate degrees, who have experience in a multitude of disciplines including consulting, management, health care, medical services, engineering, science, technology, marketing, advertising, banking, financial services, insurance, retail, consumer goods, accounting, and finance. Our members are entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, academic scholars, as well as, high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. Although our name indicates “National Black MBA Association”, please note you do not have to be black, nor do you have to possess an MBA in order to be a member. We welcome people from various cultures, ethnic groups, and professional backgrounds to join us in helping us fulfill our mission.
